Newsflash

The Pineal Gland is where each and every one of us can talk to Eris. If you have trouble activating your pineal gland, then try the appendix which does almost as well. NOTE: the POEE | Resource centre is not responsible for the occurence of ruptured apendices when using this method, you could also try your glossolalia, but there are no guarantees there either and people will probably think you're nuts - remember if they think you're nuts the gig is up.

The Good Reverend Roger Asked: "What makes you - or any other Discordian - different from the "Greyfaces?"

There ultimately is no difference, experientially, between a "Discordian" and a "Greyface". Shit happens to everyone equally, because shit just happens.

The difference seems to come from how people interpret the shit that happens to them. I tend to call people who use tunnel-vision point of view more than 50% of the time "Grey".

Additionally, Discordians seem to think that the Universe is much stranger than most people give it credit for, and respond with slightly more wonderment and excitement to things.

And most of them have a fairly good sense of humour.

Essentially, to me, a Greyface is a person with "Right Man" syndrome, has no sense of humour, cannot see arguments from more than one side, and sees no sense of mystery in existence.

But that's just me.

Let it be understood as well that everyone, including the most chaotic, hard-core Discordian, can and does act "Grey" almost every damn day in some way, shape or form. The finger I point at the Greys is also pointed at myself. Sometimes, I think the only difference between an Erisian (yeah, I'm starting to use them interchangeably, depending on how many letters I want to type) and a Greyface is that the Erisian recognizes the behaviour and tries to get out of it, at least temporarily. I am not exempt from Grey behaviour, and I am not "better than" the Greys... Well, ok, I'm better than some of them, but a kid's gotta keep his self confidence up, yeah? Anyway, the point is, if I start acting Elitist about being a Discordian/Erisian, that's when I start losing touch with the whole concept.
